Hello again! Today I will tell you about my clean pug, Brie. Let me clarify. She is not clean because she is not dirty. She is definitely dirty! She’s a pug. I call her clean because I try to include her in my clean eating routine.
Ya see, Baby Brie has some major allergies and an autoimmune disease, to boot. So, I have to be careful what I feed her because any allergic reaction can trigger her disease. She’s had to take a lot of medicine in the past and anyone who’s a pet owner, knows what a challenge it can be to give them pills! The makers of Pill Pockets® discovered this a long time ago and came up with a solution. They even make a special one for allergy sufferers. Unfortunately Brie is allergic to an ingredient in that formula as well.
So, taking matters into my own hands, I found a recipe for DIY pill pockets, on Pinterest. Luckily, it has only three ingredients: peanut butter, oats, and water – all of which I had in my pantry! Super easy to make, too. Here’s what they look like, although this picture is from the Pinterest recipe and not the ones I made.
And speaking of clean pugs, today is my Brie’s birthday. I want to make it all about her today since she’s been sad after losing her sister. So, I had some errands to run this morning. As mentioned before, she has severe separation anxiety. Needless to say, she was not happy by the time I got back from my second round of errands. She did leave me a present, though. Yup, right on my bedroom rug. I will spare you the picture of that, and instead share with you the magic cleaner I used to tidy up.😘 Ok, so this stuff is non-toxic and biodegradable. Totally safe around kids and pets, and extremely effective! I think I got mine at Walmart and it wasn’t much $$.
Since it was 115 degrees here today, in lieu of a doggy birthday cake, I made some frozen treats for Brie. Cute little cubes of 1/2 veggie stock and 1/2 peanut butter & parsley. I think they were a hit. Happy Birthday Brie!
Whoa, thank goodness for peanut butter! I think my girl had a great bday (even though she didn’t know it lol). She got lots of veggie treats, a new toy, a new collar, and we played games. It was just an excuse for me to spoil her. Thank you for stopping by and please leave comments/questions. Enter your email address to subscribe for post updates!
